The Zimbabwean programmer (vaye vanokodha zvakaipa)

So I have been wondering folks!

It seems we now have many programmers in Zimbabwe.
Or should I call them "wannabe" programmers?

Nevertheless, there is a significant number of people in my dear ZIMBABWE, the motherland of the Sons-Of-The-Soil (vana vevhu!!), who are being mentored and trained in the path of the developer.

But what brings my mind to activity in all this pandemonium is the questions that arise about these so-called programmers or developers.

For a start, can Zimbabwean developers be as good as international players like the famous east INDIANS, or PAKISTANS, or GERMANS! Can we have gurus in the field of programming like Bill Gates, Sergey Brin, or Linus Torvalds?
In fact, can we beat our fellow neighbors, the South African developers who are making a significant impact in the international playing field.
I mean we have people like Mark Shuttleworth, the first African in space, and the brains behind UBUNTU. We have great groups like the guys who did the Postilion platform for eCommerce, and the famous Pastel.

Can Zimbabwe play in this game?
